It comes with a 5.2 inch screen and 1.3 GHz octacore processor. The RAM is of 3GB and it has an internal phone memory of 16 GB. The camera is a stunning 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The phone supports both 3G and 4G LTE and comes with a pre-defined Android Lollipop OS.
Look & Feel
The metallic frame is curved to give it a sophisticated look and the faux leather rear panel adds beautifully to it. The side buttons have a good grip and it can ease the process of taking selfies.
The front screen is vivid 5.2 inch full HD IPS panel that enhances the viewing experience and except if exposed to direct sunlight, the screen can be legible seen. The response to touch is also smooth but the smudge marks due to fingertips are a put off. Images and videos are a delight to watch.
Audio is as per expectations and the phone comes with a mono rear speaker. To improve the sound quality, multiple options like ‘Speaker Enhancer mode’, ‘BesSuround’ and ‘Audio Enhancer’ have been made available that marginally improve the sound quality.
In simple terms, the camera is very good and beautifully captures stationary images. It falters a bit when things are in motion and the flash only slows down the clicking process. It comes with expected modes like Panorama, Night, Sports views etc.
It has a 2900 mAH battery it delivers competitive performance with respect to the battery life. But one point to note here is that it takes quite long to charge completely.
For a price range as this, Micromax Canvas 5 is more than worth it.
