IXigo cab has come out with outstation cab booking feature in its online app by collaborating with inter-city cab aggregators and vendors by making use of a unique reverse bidding model. The new feature will mean that customers will not be required to call up multiple cab operators, instead gaining access to the operator offering lowest fare in just over 120 seconds. Over 250 cab operators would be able to internally bid once customer places his request for a cab. The app is presently available for cities in North India that includes Chandigarh, Delhi and Dehradun.

Travellers are also being given the option of booking one-way cabs which would allow savings of up to 50% for customers. The iXigo apps aggregates cab vendors from 300 cities in total, besides boasting of tie-ups with taxi aggregator services like GetMe Cab, AHA Taxis and one way.cab.

IXigo conducts thorough background checks of all cab drivers and ensures that quality standards are of the highest level. Launched in 2007 in Gurugram by Aloke Bajpai and Rajnish Kumar, ixigo is one of India’s top online travel search website, boasting of almost 80 million subscribers.
