Motorola plans to launch the Moto G (4th Gen) and Moto G Plus ahead of the proposed June launch to an earlier date of 17th May. The change must have been warranted keeping in mind the influx of new phones that will hit the market in the coming week.
Both the The Moto G (4th Gen) and the Moto G Plus will likely have a 5.5″ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 Protection. The phones would be powered by Snapdragon 430 processor consisting of eight A-53 cores, and it would also be accompanied by an Adreno 505 GPU. The phones would also make use of Quick Charge 3.0 allowing fast charging capabilities.
Rumours also suggest that the Moto G (4th Gen) will have a 13 megapixel rear camera while the G Plus will have the larger 16 mega-pixel rear camera. The front selfie camera will be 8 mega pixel with LED flash on the The Moto G (4th Gen) and it is expected to pack in 2 GB of RAM with users having the option to go for two storage variants-8GB and 16 GB. Also, it would run on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. A non-removable 3000 mAh battery will be attached to both the Moto G(4th Gen) and Moto G Plus smartphones.
All standard connectivity options would also be offered on both the phones including 4G, WiFi and Bluetooth. Users may also be able to opt for NFC. The pricing details and comprehensive feature list will be made available by Motorola on the 17th of May.
