Samsung Galaxy J5 and J7 2016 edition which had been launched in March in China are now available for purchase in South Korea for the price of KRW 2,90,000( approx ₹17,000) and KRW 3,63,000 ( approx ₹21,000) respectively. The J series of smartphones succeed the predecessor versions launched in July last year. The company has not revealed yet as to when the 2016 editions of the J series Galaxy phones will be available in international markets.The Samsung Galaxy J5 is a 5.2″ phone with AMOLED display and powered by a 1.2 aGhz quad core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16 GB in-built memory. Memory is expandable to 128 GB using microSD cards. The Galaxy J5 weighs 158 grams and is 4G compatible as well. Based on Android 6.0 Marshamllow the phone comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. The Samsung Galaxy J7, on the other hand, comes with a 5.5″ display and is powered by a 1.6 Ghz octa core processor with same RAM, inbuilt storage and camera specifications as the Galaxy J5. Up until now, Galaxy J2, Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 together have accounted for almost 20% of the revenue that Samsung has earned through overall sales of phones in the Indian market. Samsung had also recently reported rise in first quarter earnings on the back of high sales of its recently launched Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge models.
