Close on the heels of the Apple announcement, Samsung has reported a rise in its first quarter earnings, boosted mainly but the sales of its flagship Samsung Galaxy S7 models. Operating profit in the mobile segment of Samsung Electronics rose by almost 42 %. We had reported previously that Galaxy S7 devices and sold nearly 1,00,000 units during the first two days of sale in the South Korean market. Sales have been equally impressive for both the Galaxy S7 device and Galaxy S7 Edge.
The Galaxy S7 comes up trumps in multiple aspects of design and performance be it speedy processor, display, huge memory and a better camera. Added features of wire-less charging, water and dust proofing and other nuances also add to the premium look and feel and desirability of the device.
Samsung Galaxy J3 phone with S-Bike mode with features meant for the convenience of bikers. Samsung mobile has increased its market share in India by 30% as per recently revealed statistics. This is more than the growth registered in the final quarters of 2015 and 2014- 28.6% and 27.4 % respectively. The phones that have witnessed a spurt in demand is the Galaxy J series of phones selling in the price range between ₹5000 to ₹15,000. In fact, the Galaxy J2, Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 together account for almost 20% of the revenue earned through overall sales of phones in the Indian market.
